Crab Cakes
OK, we couldn’t go without mentioning again how fantastic crab cakes are. You don’t need much to take Maryland crab meat and make it into a cake: just some mayonnaise or filling, bread crumbs, Old Bay, and a good eye for broiling or frying.
Crab Dip
Crab dip can be hot or cold and combines the creaminess of mayonnaise or cream cheese mixed with crab meat and melted cheddar. We serve our crab dip in a bread bowl with pita triangles for dipping. A crab dip and carb combination can never serve you wrong.
Crab “Fluff”
A traditional favorite, this is pretty close to Box Hill’s softshell sandwich, which we are unfortunately sold out of! A crab fluff is a soft shell crab, topped with a crab cake, batter, and deep-fried. YUM.
Crab Melt
Crab melts are easy to make at home once you’ve ordered your batch of Box Hill Crab Cakes. Simply split an English muffin and top it with a crab cake and melted cheeses.
Crab Waffle Fries
A twist on other favorite fry dishes, like gravy fries or cheese fries, Box Hill’s crab waffle fries combines the warm and salty taste of waffle fries with the burst of herbs and spices in our Maryland crab meat and delicious melted cheeses.
Crab Pretzel
Crab pretzels, like the kind at Box Hill, take a giant soft pretzel and cover it with a layer of crab meat and melted cheeses.
Crabby Bacon Cheddar Tots
Similar to crab fries, crab tots are crab-covered tater tots. Box Hill makes our crabby tots extra delectable by adding extra bacon and cheddar. The shape of the tater tots makes this dish fantastic finger food to share with a table of your friends.
Crab Salad
Crab salad is like chicken salad, but with our preferred tasty Maryland crab. It’s served cold and is made by mixing crab meat with a binder like mayonnaise and is then often served over salad greens or with fresh fruit.

If you’re a fan of Maryland crab, you have two excellent crab soup options available to enjoy. The cream of crab soup, sometimes spiked with sherry and full of small bits of crab meat, offers a warm and hearty treat during cold weather (although who hasn’t had their share of summer cream of crab bowls?). The Maryland Crab Soup is a little spicier and tomato-based. It is a brothy soup like vegetable soup with crab seasoning added.
